Virginia Marie Mckenzie

MCKENZIE, Virginia "Marie" 84, of Clayton, OH, passed away August 28, 2013, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 1, 1928 in Logan, West Virginia, to the late Alonzo and Agnes (Conway) Martin.

Marie retired after 30 years of service from General Motors. She was a devoted member of the Christian Life Center for 37 years, where she volunteered endless hours. Marie was also an active member of the Dayton Christian Women's Club.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her Husband, Forrest "Buss" McKenzie; Brothers, John Martin, Lemward Martin, Eugene Martin; Sisters, Agnes Dunlap, Frances Sickles and Cecil Benner.

Marie is survived by her loving Son and Daughter-in-law, Forrest "Ray" and Diane McKenzie; Granddaughter, Amy (Greg) Vennerholm; Grandson, Michael (Angela) McKenzie; Great-Grandchildren, Cameren McKenzie, Alec Vennerholm, Nathaniel McKenzie, Liam Vennerholm, Zachary McKenzie and Owen Vennerholm; numerous nieces, nephews, including Diane, Elaine and Roger, along with many wonderful friends.


Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Christian Life Center, 3489 Little York Road, Dayton, OH where funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, September 6, 2013. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice of Dayton.
