Virginia L. Lucas

Virginia L. "Ginny" Lucas, age 88 of Beavercreek, OH passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018. She was born December 22, 1929 in Lee County, Kentucky to Nello and Florence (Porter) Thomas. Ginny married Bobbie Lucas on October 31, 1948 in Lee County, KY and he preceded her in death.

Ginny retired from the Beavercreek School Systems where she worked for 25 years. She was a talented artist who loved to paint outdoor and nature scenery. Ginny enjoyed working in the yard and being outside. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her family, and will be greatly missed by all.

Ginny is survived by a daughter, Debbie (Michael) Moyer; a son, Steve (Donna) Lucas; four grandchildren; Melissa Broyles, Emily Moyer, Shana (Tony) Ramsey and Adam (Cassie) Lucas; six great grandchildren, Nora, Blake, Addison, Audri, Corbin and Anthony; and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a sister, Wilma Riley; and two brothers, Ed and John Thomas.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Beaver Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to Hospice of Dayton (Ohio's Hospice), 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420.
