HICKEY, Virginia Christine
age 78 of Kettering, passed away after a long battle with breast cancer Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at her home. Virginia was born August 25, 1927. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Donald Charles Hickey; daughters, Christine (Rodney) Brown, Teresa (Craig) Cook, Carol (Peter) DiSalvo, Jr., Anita (Dean) Nicodemus, Mary (Mark) Ashworth, Jennifer Hickey; son, Mark E. Hickey; brother, Richard (Barbara) Manning, sister-in-law, Edna Rae Stemple; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Her love, humor, strength, and support will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday, April 21, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:30 PM, Church of the Ascension, 2025 Woodman Drive. Interment will be in Dayton National Cemetery. The family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Cleanne Cass and Hospice of Dayton for their kindness and support.
