Virginia "Ginger" Chandler

Virginia "Ginger" B. Chandler, age 78 of Huber Heights, Ohio passed away peacefully with family by her side on February 5, 2025. She was born November 17, 1946 in Beatrice, Nebraska daughter of the late Leonard and Betty (Elmore) Wiemers. 

Ginger attended the Huber Heights Baptist Temple and was a member of the choir. She was a huge Ohio State Buckeyes and Nebraska Cornhuskers football fan. She had an affinity for animals, but a particular love for dogs and horses. Ginger loved spending time with her family, both biological and chosen. She was a second mom for many years to several bonus children. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. 

In addition to her parents, Ginger was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" T. Chandler; nephew, Robb Wiemers; and brother, Alan Wiemers. 

She is survived by her children, Angie Chandler, Neil and daughter-n-law, Tina Chandler; grandchildren, Erica and Brooke Chandler; siblings, Barbara (Howard) Miller, David (Debbie) Wiemers, Lori (Jeff) Woodard, and Mark (Ronna) Wiemers; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as several other family members and friends. 

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 from 5-6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A Funeral Service will begin at 6pm at the Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Zimmerman officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Ginger's honor to your local Humane Society.
