FOWLE, Virginia Bowen
age 72 of Beavercreek, passed away Friday, December 24, 2004 at Heartland of Beavercreek. Virginia was born October 13, 1932, in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of the late Richard and Evelyn Bowen. She worked at Bell Telephone Company for a short time. She was a member of St. Marks Episcopal Church and had been active in the choir and altar guild. Virginia sang with the Dayton Bach Society for 17 years and was also accomplished in knitting, needle point and quilting, and crocheting. She also enjoyed participating in Elderhostel trips. Virginia is survived by her husband of 49 years, Edward Fowle; children, Lauren K. Gleason, Jeffrey E. (Tonya) Fowle, Lynn S. (Scott) Fowle-Ludlow, and James B. (Brenda) Fowle; and grandchildren, Sarah, Katherine, Patrick, Colin, Erin, Kyle, Alexander, and Christopher. Memorial services will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2004 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 456 Woodman Drive, Dayton. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
