Virginia Delores (Golden)"Gini" Baker, formerly of Dayton, peacefully joined her beloved husband Eddie in eternal happiness January 25 in Southern California. She was born the eldest daughter of eight children to Bertha and Carl Golden in West Carrolton December 22, 1922. A 1940 graduate of Germantown high school, she served proudly in the WAVES in WWII and remained active in service sororities and organizations while a loving mother and homemaker throughout her life in Dayton, Kingwood, TX; and finally Laguna Woods, CA. That life and her memory will be forever cherished by her two remaining brothers, Ken Golden (Rosetta) of Dayton; Carl Jr. (Roselle) of Anaheim, CA; and by her five children; Terry of Laguna Woods, CA; Jill (Bob) Loscko of Irvine, CA; Gary (MaryBeth) of Springboro; Tim (Debbie) of Humble, TX; Tom (Brenda) of Englewood; and by her 13 treasured grandchildren, Kimberly (Louis) Pacella of Woodland Hills, CA, Melissa (Ben) Lippincott of Miamisburg, David,Thomas and Michelle Baker of Springboro, Bobby and Stephen Loscko of Irvine, CA; Katharine Baker of AZ; Sarah and Dustin of Englewood, Ashley, Kelli and Amy Baker of Humble, TX; two beloved great grandchildren Nicholas Pacella and Noah Lippincott; an adoring extended family of relatives and incalculable friends. She was also preceded in death by her infant granddaughter Jennifer Loscko, two brothers, Robert killed in Korea, James, and her dear sisters Joanne Lawson of Kettering, Rita Mae and Betty Lou. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Kettering Chapel. Services will be held Monday, February 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Floral arrangements were made through Hills and Dales Florist.
