Virginia Harvey Clair
1927 – 2012
Clair, Virginia Ruth (84) passed away peacefully at her home February 2, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born March 3, 1927 in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky to John and Lou Ellen Harvey. She married Henry (HC) Clair, July 11, 1947. Virginia and HC made their home in Beavercreek for over 50 years and were very involved in the Beavercreek Community. Virginia was a dispatcher for Beavercreek Police and Fire from 1968-1975. After retirement HC and Virginia traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and they were always together. She loved books, poetry and dancing.
She leaves behind to mourn her loss her husband of 64 years, Henry Clair, her faithful companion Sadie and her best friend Martha Whited. She is survived by two children, Linda (Chuck) McIntosh of Tipp City and David Henry (Leslie) Clair of Cedarville. She was 'Granny' Clair to 4 grandsons and great-grandmother of 6.
Services will be at the Newcomer Funeral home on Dayton-Xenia Road in Beavercreek on Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Officiating will be Reverend David Brown of Kirkmont Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from Noon to 2:00 PM the same day with funeral services immediately following. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery.

The family would like to thank her caregivers, Amanda, Erin, Evie, Johanna, Kerry, Laurie, Lucy, and Sarah for the care they provided during the last few months. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek.
