Virginia R. Bailey "Ginny"

Virginia R. " Ginny" Bailey, age 95 of Dayton, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023. She was born on August 8, 1927 in Allen County, Ohio to the late Walter and Iva Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her five siblings, Walter, Rolland, Charlotte, Marjorie (Smith) Sellers, and Grace (Smith) Joy.

Virginia is survived by her four children, Dennis (Mary Jo) Bailey, Barri Adams, David (Patty) Bailey, and Daniel (Sue) Bailey; eight grandchildren, Patrick (Stephanie) Bailey, Mark (Rochelle) Bailey, Kimberly (Chad) Connors, Brad (Vanessa) Adams, John Bailey, David Bailey, Angela (Mike) Roberts, and Jennifer (Mike) Foland; nineteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Virginia was employed by Lazarus as a cosmetic consultant for more than 30 years. She later worked at De Clark's Gift Shop. Virginia enjoyed gardening, playing Euchre, and watching the Cincinnati Reds Baseball. The most important thing to her was family. Virginia is well loved and will be deeply missed.

Funeral Service will be officiated at 11:00 am on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home-Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd. Kettering, Ohio 45439). Family will receive guests one hour prior to the service from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Virginia will be laid to rest at David's Cemetery (4600 Mad River Rd, Dayton, OH 45429).
