Virginia A. Thompson

Thompson, Virginia A., age 86, of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, October 1, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband: John; parents: Charles & Catherine Bolton; grandson: David Johnson; and her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her seven children: Susan Fidler, Ken (Judy) Thompson, Betty (Dale) Johnson, Carol Izor (Mike Sweeney), Thomas (Joni) Thompson, Steven (Karlene) Thompson, Scott (Kristie) Thompson; grandchildren: John Fidler, Shannon Fidler, Shawnda Thompson, Lori Johnson, Andrew Izor, Seth Izor, Stephanie Johnson, Nicholas Thompson, Rowan Thompson, Shea Thompson; great grandchildren: Joel Thompson, Ellie & Andrew Fidler, Saundra Hall, Ana, Liam, Bailey & Aiden Izor, Caitlin & Abbey Johnson, Ava Thompson; good friend: Gary Norvell; and many nieces, nephews, dear neighbors and friends. She was a former employee of Miamisburg City Schools and a member of the Miamisburg Starving Artist Board for many years.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Interment will follow the service at Springboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:30 A.M. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Montgomery County Humane Society. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Sycamore Hospital and a special thanks to Dr. Keller for the kindness extended to the family.
