Virginia A."Ginny" Anderson

Anderson, Virginia "Ginny" A. (nee Miller), age 76, of Beavercreek, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 10, 2013.

Born in Dayton, Ohio on January 22, 1937 to Ralph Edwin and Stella May (Alford) Miller. She had resided in Germantown and Beavercreek and was a proud graduate of the Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed at Miami Valley Hospital, with Dr. Herbert R. Moore, and for the State of Ohio at the Dayton Mental Health Center. She was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church in Beavercreek.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Genevieve Greer (Charles) and husband, Donald M. Anderson. Virginia is survived by her loving children, Susan A. Barnes (nee Shirley) and husband, Bill; Cynthia K. Wilcox (nee Shirley) and husband, Gregory; Alan G. Shirley and wife, Denise; David B. Shirley and wife Rachel; and Michelle E. Schneider (nee Hollenbaugh). She is also survived by grandchildren, Candice L. Jacobs (nee Phillabaum) and husband Scott; Ashley L. Schlereth (nee Phillabaum) and husband, TJ; Alan "AJ" G. Shirley, Jr.; and Kristopher Soward. Additionally she is survived by two great-grandsons, Gavin S. Jacobs and Cruze P. Schlereth. Lastly, Virginia is survived by her beloved brothers, Elmer K. Miller and wife, June; Meryl E. Miller and late wife, Marilyn; Rev. Lowell C. Miller and wife, Mary Lou; and many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to "Wounded Warriors" or any charity of choice.
