Virgil E. Stewart

Stewart, Virgil E., age 84, of Moraine and Englewood, Florida, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Walnut Creek Nursing Center. Virgil was a United States Marine Corps Veteran proudly serving during WWII, and retired from NCR as an electrical engineer with over 30 years of service. He was a member of F. & A.M. Stillwater Lodge #616 Fairfield and Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton. Virgil is survived by his wife of over 27 years: Sue Stewart; daughters and sons-in-law: Vicki (Joe) McCloud & Paula (George) Keister; sons and daughters-in-law: Kenneth (Diana Schmitz) Pavy & Lonnie (Diana) Pavy; 10 grandchildren: Stephanie, PJ, Heather, Katie, Kelly, Matt, Lizzie, Drew, Ben, Jason; 3 great grandchildren: Garrett, Kendall, Chloe; nieces: Adrian & Shirley; and numerous other family members and friends. A celebration of Virgil's life will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Virgil. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Walnut Creek for their love and care of Virgil. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel).
