Virgil Ray Binion, age 74, of Riverside, OH passed away at the VA Hospital on May 12, 2024 under Hospice Care. Virgil was born in Dayton, OH on July 7, 1949 to Clyde and Bessie Binion.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law, Robert and Katherine Bell and sisters-in-law, Kristy Binion and Corinne Rihm. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, June, daughter, Katie (Joshua), son, Virgil Adam (Jenna), granddaughter, Adelaide Birch, and grandson Virgil Miles. He is also survived by his brother, Elmer, sister, Donna (Tim), sisters-in-law, Chris (Randy), Jani (David), Roberta (Jeff) and brother-in-law Steve (Sandy), along with many other relatives, friends, and co-workers.
Virgil was a 1968 graduate of Stebbins High School. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy and was a life member of Disabled American Veterans. Virgil retired from Emery Worldwide. He enjoyed movie dates with his wife, spending time with his children and grandchildren, visiting the Smoky Mountains and Gatlinburg, his Vette and watching the History Channel, M*A*S*H, Hogan's Heroes and Perry Mason. He was a loving husband, a great dad and a playful grandpa who loved a good laugh.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home in Beavercreek from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Heath Houston from Rejoicing Life Church of God officiating. Virgil will be laid to rest at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Xenia following the service.
