Virgie Puckett

Virgie E. Puckett, age 90, formerly of Melvin, KY, passed away October 30, 2017 at Springfield Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born March 25, 1927 in Coburn, VA to the late Orbin and Ruby Moore. In addition to her parents, Virgie was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Puckett; brothers: George Moore and Burnis Moore; sister, Dorothy Hamilton; and step-children: Jacqueline Emerson and James Puckett.

Virgie is survived by her children: William Mullins (Margie), Loretta "Tootie" Adams (Chris), Roger Puckett (Bob) and Paul Puckett (Rhonda); step-daughter, Betty Layne; sister, Barbara Crawford (Manis); grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3-5 pm on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where the funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday. Burial to follow at Grandview Cemetery, Urbana. To send a special message to the family, please click on Share Memories.
