Age 63, of Riverside, passed away Monday, March 15, 2010.
Virda was preceded in death by her father, Elisha Carroll; and by four sisters, Zelma, Cleo, Stella & Hazel.
Virda is survived by her husband of the past 23 years, Bill Preston; her mother, Bonie Carroll; five children, Russell, James & Karen Beedy, Brian & James Preston; 14 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Charlie & Ferman; four sisters, Anna, Molly, Ellen & Polly; and by her extended family & many good friends.
Virda was a religious woman and will be welcomed into God's arms.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday (3/17) at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m., Thursday. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Springfield.
Contributions may be made in memory of Virda to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation.
