Violet P. Pease

Violet ( Vi ) departed this earth Thursday, September 9th, after a long battle with her health. She fought to the end, prompting her Nurses to say "When I get to her age I want the constitution she has."

Violet was a Retiree from the Kroger Company where she worked as a Cashier,
Office Manager, and Union Steward for over 30 years. She loved getting to know her customers and loved her job.

She was a mother of five sons and her house was the Sunday and Holiday gathering place.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Frank Smith; her brother, Archie at age 3; her sisters, Georgia (Ken) Harris, Barbara (Ben) Iverson; her brother, Gene Smith; her sons, Donald Simmons, Gregg Simmons Jr., and Michael Simmons; her former spouses, Gregg Simmons, Sr. and Robert Pease.

She is survived by her sons, David (Carol) Simmons and Jeffery Simmons; her sister, Shirley (Larry) Judd and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.


Friends may call from 1 to 2 PM Friday, September 17 at the Newcomer Funeral Home at 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, the Funeral Service will be at 2 PM, followed by Procession to Woodland Cemetery for Graveside Services.
