Violet H. Mitchell, age 91, of Dayton, took her journey to Heaven on Thursday, March 5, 2015.
She was born February 9, 1924 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late George and Rose Hanke.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Mitchell; and her parents, brothers and sisters.
Violet is survived by her two daughters, Mary A. (John) Whitley and Rose Ann (Tom) Funk; three grandchildren, Marianne Abbott, Mike (Lorna) Gentry and Scott Basso; 12 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held for the family. Donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
