SITZMAN, Viola, "Geise", age 88, of Dayton, passed away Friday October 26, 2007 at Dayspring Healthcare Center. She was born in Fort Loramie, OH, daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Geier) Geise. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Woodrow, whom she married November 22, 1945 in Philothea, OH; 3 sisters, Loretta Schulze, Mildred Kinninger, Martha Thobe; and 5 brothers, Arthur, Alfred, Elmer, Robert and Charles Geise; two step-sisters, Mary Jane Knapke and Josie Knapke. Vi is survived by daughters, Charlene and Tom Watren of Versailles, OH, Marilyn and Charlie Trappe of Beavercreek, OH, Kathy and Jerry Hackenberg of Dayton, OH; eight grandchildren, Matt and Dan Watren of Versailles, Andy Watren of CA, Jeremy Hackenberg of WA, Justin Hackenberg of KY, Josh Hackenberg of Dayton, Celeste Farmer and Brianne Trappe of Beavercreek, OH; eight great-grandchildren; sister Esther Smith; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Geise and "Butch" Geise of Coldwater, OH; and brother-in-law, Wilbur Thobe of Maria Stein, OH; and numerous other relatives and friends. Vi was a WWII employee at NCR. Together with her husband, Woody, they owned Lisle Trailer Park in N. Dayton. Vi retired from Rike's Dept. Store in 1984. The family will receive friends from 4:30 - 8 PM Thursday November 1, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Friday November 2, 2007 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to give thanks to Mom's special caregivers at Dayspring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
