Viola Deis

DEIS, Viola C., age 95, of Kettering, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013. Viola is preceded in death by her son, Dennis. She is survived by her children, Edmund (Donna), Gary (Kathy), Pete (Vic), Diana (Brent), and Maria (Ted); 14 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren, and a host of many wonderful friends.

She was with the Ascension Players and was a gifted oil painter (all of her artwork hangs in the homes of her children). Viola loved camping and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, April 19, 2013 at the Church of the Ascension, 2025 Woodman Dr., Kettering. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
