Viola M. Adams

Adams, Viola M. was born to Bob Baumgardner and Lulu (Roland) Baumgardner on February 9, 1926 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio. She passed away on January 19, 2017. She was raised by her grandparents, Reverand Rama and Ida Baumgardner.

In addition to her parents and grandparents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Herbert L. Adams; grandson, David Fox; half- brothers Clyde Baumgardner and Bobby Baumgardner.

She is survived by her three devoted and loving sons Keith (Mary Jane) Fox, Ron (Lydia) Fox and Steve (Janie) Fox; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; half-brother Donald (Betty) Baumgardner; step-brother David Burgess; half-sisters Joan Williford, Betty Griffith, Sharon (David) Drachlis; step-sister Ann Gilbert and numerous nieces and nephews.

Viola met the love of her life, Herb Adams, in February 1972 and one month later on March 20, 1972 they were married. They both worked and retired together from Hobart Brothers in 1988 which enabled them to travel. They were completely inseparable for 44 years until his death 10 days prior.

Viola will be sadly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank the nurses and aids of Miller Farm Place and Crossroads Hospice for her care.

They will receive friends from 10-11am on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where services will begin at 11am. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Garden.
