Vinia M. Harman

Harman, Vinia M. "Maria", age 90, of West Carrollton, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2008. Maria was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, worked at Inland/GM, and managed Maxines and Teddys cocktail lounges in Dayton. She loved traveling, walking and jogging.

Maria is survived by her husband: Theodore Harman; sons and daughters-in-law: Vernon (Nan) Leece, Johnny (Linda) Leece both of Hamilton; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; brothers: Donald, Ralph, Virgil Hopkins; daughter-in-law: Virginia Hopkins of South Carolina; and numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her son: Kenneth Hopkins; parents: George & Lula Hopkins; 7 brothers; and 4 sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, July 21, 2008 at St. Henry Catholic Church, 6666 Springboro Pike, with Father Thomas Shearer Celebrant. Interment will follow Mass at Dayton National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering on Sunday from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alco-Aids Club, 2206 East Third St., Dayton, Ohio 45403.
