Vincent John Balas Jr., age 70, of West Carrollton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 29, 2017.
Vinny was born in Dayton on October 26, 1946 to the late Vincent John Sr. & Ida Johanna Balas. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Bertha Ann Vest.
Vinny graduated from Fairview H.S. class of 1964, with a love of his classmates. He enjoyed rock n' roll, slot machines, festivals and spending his summers at the Fraze. He lived life to the fullest and never knew a stranger.
Vinny is survived by his daughter, Brynn Johanna (Matthew) Coy; grandchildren, Elaina, Nathan and Hannah Coy; sisters, Deborah (Roger) Brown and Diana Balas; nieces and nephews, Joe Anthony, Mary Kay Anthony, Nick (Lauren) Brown, Jessica Brown and Shauna (Ryan) West; great-nieces and nephews, Reese Westendorf, Mykenzie, Tyler and Ryann West; and as he affectionately called her, his "little girlfriend", Beverly Tarin; numerous cousins that were dear to his heart and countless friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 12:30-2:30pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The memorial service will follow at 2:30pm.
