Vickie Lynn Fennell, a cherished member of her family and community, passed away on October 20, 2024 at the age of 66 in Troy, Ohio. Born on March 16, 1958, in Aurora, Colorado, Vickie led a life filled with love, dedication, and numerous accomplishments.
Vickie earned her Associate's degree from Miami Jacobs, which laid the foundation for her successful career. She dedicated 20 years of her professional life to Premier Health, where her commitment and hard work were deeply appreciated.
Family was at the heart of Vickie's life, and she took immense pride in her role as a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son, Brandon (Diana) Fennell, and her beloved grandchildren, Roland and Clementine Fennell. Vickie had a special bond with her family, often organizing gatherings that filled their home with laughter and love. She treasured her dog, Gracie, who was a constant source of companionship and joy.
Vickie maintained close ties with her siblings, including her sister Cindy Driver and brother Bill (Alicia) Driver. She also had a deeply connected relationship with her mother, Marliese Driver, who supported her throughout her life. Vickie was an affectionate aunt to her nephews Andrew, William, and Phillip, and her niece Catherine, forming strong connections across generations.
In addition to her family bonds, Vickie was an active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, where she found community and support. Her hobbies included creating beautiful moments in her yard, hosting delightful tea parties, hiking, crocheting, and enjoying movie outings. Each of these interests reflected her vibrant spirit and love for life.
Vickie's late father, Donald Driver, preceded her in death. His memory remained with her as she carried forward the values he instilled.
Vickie Lynn Fennell will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the profound impact she had on those around her. Her legacy of love and dedication will continue to inspire all who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 10-11:30am at St. Matthew Lutheran Church 5566 Chambersburg Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. A memorial service will follow at 11:30am.
