Vickie A. Carver, age 63 of Dayton, passed away March 18, 2018 at her home. She was born June 6, 1954 in Dayton to the late James W. and Lillian M. (Monce) Shields. In addition to her parents, Vickie was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa and son, Stephen.
She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Floyd Carver; brother, Terry Shields; sister, Patsy (Dana) Swisher; 3 nephews; 3 nieces; dear friends: Diane Monas and Janice Allen, who Vickie worked for, for 10 years at Circle K; and numerous other friends.
Vickie enjoyed crocheting, coloring books and loved working with flowers, having worked at Furst Florist for several years. Following her work with Furst, she worked for many years at Circle K in the Dayton area.
Family will receive friends from 9-10 AM on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. where a funeral service will begin at 10 AM. Interment will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to SISCA or American Cancer Society, in Vickie's name.
