Vicki S. Sturgill, 56, of Beavercreek, OH passed away Wednesday January 25, 2012.
She is preceded in death by father, Lawrence "Sonny" Gantt; and sister, Jayne "Janie" Gantt.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Nick Sturgill; mother, Katherine Gantt; 2 daughters, Amy R. and Kelly M. Sturgill; 1 beloved grandson, Landon Nicholas; brother, Lawrence Gantt Jr.; sister, Carol Lane; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Vicki was a very active member of the Dayton Moose Lodge #73 and Women of the Moose Chapter 9. She became a WOTM member in June of 2000. After that, she completed the Academy of Friendship in 2002. In 2005, she achieved on of the highest ranks in the WOTM, a regent degree from the College of Regents of which she was very proud of. She was also a very active member of The Moose Riders 73 and was the treasurer of the yearly motorcycle fundraising event Blessing of the Bikes. The Blessing of the Bikes she held very close to her heart. She was very proud of the work she did for the blessing and adored all the people she worked with planning and carrying out the event.
Vicki was a very sweet caring woman. Her organizational skills were exceptional. She was not afraid to speak her mind and always did things the way she wanted them done.
Vicki will be greatly missed, and her spirit will always be with us.
Visitation is Monday January 30, 2012 from 12pm to 2pm with funeral service starting at 2pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home (Beavercreek Chapel), Beavercreek, OH.
Interment is in Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia, OH.
