Vicki Purcell, age 66 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020. She was born January 8, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Victor and Betty Zotkiewicz.
Vicki attended St. Adalberts Catholic School, and was a graduate of Julienne High School and attended Sinclair Community College. Vicki was not only very dedicated to God and church, she was also very dedicated to her work and family. She always sent cards to her children and grandchildren for every occasion she could think of and had the most beautiful handwriting.
Vicki was the organist and choir director at St. Adalbert Catholic Church for many years. She was a very dedicated employee at RGIS for over 20 years. Vicki had been living in Michigan for many years and spent a lot of time traveling for work and to visit her family.
She liked to knit, play bingo, and play cards- especially Bridge and Euchre- and she always won! Vicki was also an avid sport fan and liked to watch the Detroit Tigers baseball, Detroit Lions and Ohio State football.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Charles Purcell.
Vicki will be missed by her loving daughters, Beth (Charlie) Roper, Maureen Purcell, and Janice Purcell; grandchildren, Kerri, Alexia, Maura, Gavin, Brayden, Henry, Meghan and Garrison; great-granddaughter, Lay'Onna; sister, Rita Konicki; niece, Lori and nephew, Dennis.
Family will receive friends Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 12 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Everyone is invited to a Celebration of Life following the services from 2-5 p.m. at the Polish Club, 1470 Valley St., Dayton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Vicki's memory to Hospice of Miami County.
