Vicki D. Jaques

Vicki Diane Jaques, age 64 of Huber Heights, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at her home. She was born April 6, 1954 in Indianapolis, Indiana, daughter of Robert Merle Garnett and Virginia "Ginger" (Witcher) Slocum.

In addition to her father, Vicki was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Garnett and former son-in-law, Andrew Gerndt.
Vickie is survived by her mother, Ginger; daughter, Shannon Dawn Gerndt; step-children, Cindy, Kimberly, Melissa and Tim; the father of her children, John Jaques; grandchildren, Joshua, Devin and Tru and a brother, Greg (Henrietta) Garnett as well as many other extended family members and friends.

Vicki was a graduate of Fairborn High School and complete a degree in cosmetology to become a licensed beautician. During her high school career, Vicki enjoyed participating on the Drill Team. She enjoyed a long career in the cosmetology industry as an owner operator of Vicki's Hair Salon, Dayton. Vicki shared a love for arts and crafts with her mother, supplying the majority of creations for sale at Ginniv's in Metamora, IN. Vicki also spent time helping to run the Holiday Airs in Dayton, where she made many lasting friendships. She will always be remembered for her spontaneity, enjoying her family and being a free spirit.
