Vesta Faye Ross Bucher

Vesta Faye Ross Bucher, age 88 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017. She was born January 10, 1929 in Ironton, Ohio to the late Harry and Gertrude Smith.

Faye was a life-time member of the American Legion Post #746 and VFW Post #6560. She was a loving person who cared deeply about her family and friends.

In addition to her parents and step-father, Claude Brown, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Ross; second husband, George Bucher; daughter, Carolyn Faye Anderson; grandson, Doug Anderson, Jr.; and siblings, Helen Johnson, Kate Smith, Phillip Smith, Lester Smith, Claude Brown, Bill Brown and Louie Brown.

Faye will be missed by her loving sons, John (Darlene) Ross, Jr. and Terry (Sonya Crum) Ross; son-in-law, Doug Anderson; step-children, Judy (Rex) Bratton, George (Princie) Bucher, Joyce Bucher, Linda (Jim) Hall; numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Family will receive friends Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424 where the funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will be held at Willow View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Faye's memory to the Hospice of Dayton.
