Vernon Newsome, age 73, of Dayton, OH passed away on December 22, 2013.
He was born on August 8, 1940 to the late Noah and Rebecca Ann (Kiser) Newsome, of Booker Fork, Pikeville, KY.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Ann (Sparaco) Newsome; his brothers: Lonza , Ed, Jess and James Newsome; sisters: Ethel Baldwin, Hazel Collier, Ruth White and Dixie Hamilton.
Being married to Mary Ann made Vernon extremely happy thru out their 51 years of marriage. In his younger days, he enjoyed bowling, hunting and trading guns. In his later years, he enjoyed his relaxed life with his wife and many pets.
He is survived by his brother, Luther Newsome, and his sister, Edna Hamilton along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Vernon's wonderful neighbors for their help and comfort during recent times; Ken and Pam, Doug and Bellert, Sam and Gina, Amy and Robert.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am, visitation starting at 9 am, Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH. Foster Akers officiating. Burial at Calvary Cemetery immediately following the funeral.
