Vernon Calloway Brown

BROWN, Vernon C. "Bump" age 68 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2005 at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents Lyman and Sabra Brown, his brothers Marvin, David, Albert, Willis and Homer Brown and his sister Ethel Imojene Brown. He is survived by the mother of his children Rosella Sparkman, his daughters Diane and husband Brian Clegg of Indianapolis, IN, Loretta Brown, Ann Redish and Kelly Romero; grandchildren Ashley Hatton, Mia and Kylie Clegg; brother Leo Brown; sisters Thelma Brown, Geneva Disney, Irene Salyer, Beulah Adams, Barbara Newton, Bonnie Brown, Kathy Brown, Eliza Dean and Elizabeth Mounts; stepmother Margie Brown; and a host of other relatives and friends. Vernon retired from Carpenters Union 104 after many years of service and was a member of the Moose Lodge. Vernon was not a man of many words, but he was a stranger to no one and a friend to all. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at Newcomer Funeral Home 4104 Needmore Road. Family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
