Age 83, of Huber Heights, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at her home.
Vernie was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Rickert; and by several brothers & one sister.
Vernie is survived by her husband of the past 63 years, James R. Fyffe; two daughters, Jean & her husband, Jerry Lankford and Connie Rathburn; six grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and by her extended family & many good friends.
The family will be receiving friends from 11:30 – 1:00 p.m., Saturday (1/2), at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Donnie Pack officiating. Interment will follow at Willow View Cemetery.
If friends desire contributions may be made in memory of Vernie to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
