Verna Mae Holland

HOLLAND (Adkins), Verna Mae, age 79, of Huber Heights, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 13, 2010, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Sidney Adkins; son, Edward Adkins; her parents; 1 brother; and 7 sisters. Verna is survived by her husband of 21 years, Michael Holland; children, Madelyn (Steven) Cox, David Adkins; step-children; Debbie (Stan) Manuel, Randolph (Angel) Holland, Heather Stover; granddaughters, Shelley (Robbie) Combs, Stacey La Rocco, Anna (Curtis) Sullivan, Stephanie (Chad) Ortego; 9 great-grandchildren; 9 step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Cox, Patricia (Kenneth) Kearns; and many other relatives and friends She retired from Dayton Abrasive after 28 years of service. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 21, 2010 from 10AM-12PM at Bethel Christian Church, where she was a devoted member (327 South Smithville Rd, Dayton, OH 45403). The service will be at 12PM,with Pastor Dan Brown, Rev. Ron Houser, and Rev. Leroy Whiteman officiating. Burial to follow at Willow View Cemetery.
