Vera Mae Wheeler (Pardue), 90, of Huber Heights, Ohio passed away peacefully at her residence on January 9, 2025. She was born on July 17, 1934, in Bloomington, Indiana.
She was reunited with her Grandpa, Wally, her wonderful parents, Roby and Mary, one brother Richard, beloved son-in-law, Denny as well as her loving sister, Phyllis.
Vera is survived by her four children, Pam Roop, Cindi (Michael) Cole, Gloria (Richard) Rogers, and only son Jeffrey, and her sister, Kathy. She was blessed with six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She had many nieces, nephews and extended family members who loved her dearly.
Vera cherished her family and devoted herself to raising her children and grandchildren. She loved animals and was an avid reader. She enjoyed traveling, country music, reminiscing and looking at photographs and watching mysteries and true crime. She touched so many lives with her warmth and kindness and long talks and sense of humor.
The family will receive friends for visitation at 1:30pm with services beginning at 3:00pm on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel honoring her strength, compassion, and the care she so freely gave to others throughout her life.
