Velva Sanford

Velva M. Sanford, age 90 of Fairborn, passed away November 10, 2020. She was born May 25, 1930 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Lafayette and Ollie Cook. In addition to her parents, Velva was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Sanford; and sister, Nadine Webb.

Velva is survived by her sons: Randy (Betty), Greg (Donna) and Terry Sanford; grandchildren: Tina, Lori, Randy, Scott, Shelly, Yvonne, Cammie, Terry, Bradley and Cassie; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Shirley McGarvy; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Velva was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 10:30 am on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 10:30 am. Burial to follow at Byron Cemetery. Velva's family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff at the Hospice of Miami Valley and to 2 very special nurses: Lori and Julie for their loving care.
