Velva Belle Thompson, age 91 of Miamisburg, OH passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015.
She was born in Olmsted County, MN on January 25, 1924 to the late Oelwein and Alma (Stevens) Amos.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Leola R. Witte, of FL. and Hazel Schanrock, of CA.
Velva is survived by her husband of 65 years, Keith M. Thompson; son, Jeffry K. (Melissa) Thompson; daughter, Darcie (Jay) Stevens; grandchildren, Summer (Ryan) Kraft and Holly Shumate; step-grandchildren, Casey (Troy) Teater, Kelley (Eli) Kaczka, Brian Stevens, Greg (Stacey) Stevens, Jill Stevens; great-grandchildren, Lucy and Theodore Shumate, Lily Belle Kraft along with 7 step-great-grandchildren; and several other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and dear friends.
If desired, donations may be made in her memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel.
