Velma J. Sorah, age 68 of Dayton, passed away November 28, 2015. She was born July 7, 1947 in Salyersville, KY to the late Paul and Edith Jackson.
Velma is survived by her husband of 48 years, Richard Sorah; sons: Paul Edward (Cheryl) Sorah and Matthew Thomas (Alanna) Sorah; grandchildren: Emily, Robert, Alexandria, Olivia and Ezra; sisters: Marcella (David) Avant and Sharon (Timothy) Davis; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Velma was a member of Faith Baptist Church, where she was active in children's ministries and women's group.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Faith Baptist Church, 4215 Indian Ripple Road, Beavercreek, where the funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday. Burial to follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd.
