Vaughn Leroy Mitchell

Vaughn Leroy Mitchell, age 84, of Xenia, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015. He was born April 7, 1931 in Athens County, Ohio, the son of the late Flavius and Pauline Mitchell.
He served our country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army and retired from The Greene County Sheriff's Department.
Vaughn is survived by his wife Shirley; daughters, Brenda (Wayne) Rooney and Theresa (William) Caldwell; sons, David (Debbie) Mitchell, Greg Mitchell; step-children, Nancy and Penny; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be April 29, 2015 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm following visitation at Woodland Cemetery Xenia.
