Van T. Gagnier, 66, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Soin Medical Center. Van was born in Binh Thuy, Vietnam on December 30, 1950 to Ly and Thi (Binh) Hon. She married Louis Gagnier on January 29, 1975 in Dayton, OH. .
Van was a great cook with an infectious laugh and a good sense of humor. She was a very hardworking woman with endless energy, and was devoted to her family who she loved dearly and was a great friend to all who knew her.
Van is survived by her daughter, Marian (Corey) Mendenhall; three sons, Louie (Christina) Gagnier, Aaron (Kim) Gagnier, Sr. and Joseph (Esther) Gagnier; grandchildren Briana, Aaron Jr., Zachary, Amaya, Ayden, Camden, Adrianna, Brandon, Jasmine and Evelyn; and her significant other Gary Babb. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Louis Gagnier.
A funeral ceremony will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio on Saturday March 11, 2017 at 2:00 pm. A public visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
