Valerie Lynn Coulton, 60, of Dayton, peacefully passed away at home on Saturday, September 10, 2022, after a lengthy and complicated illness. She was born October 28, 1961 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to parents Vincent J. "Bud" and Lois A. Vizza.
Val grew up in Belle Vernon, PA, attended Monongahela Valley Catholic High School, and received her undergraduate degree in MIS from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Upon graduation, she joined the U.S. Group Corporate IT department at NCR Corporation in Dayton, Ohio, where she worked for several years before leaving and raising her family.
As many know, Val had been battling ME/CFS for many years. It is a testament to her character that she bravely fought until her passing Saturday evening. Despite her illness, Val maintained friendships with many key friends over the years. She considered many of them family.
She is preceded in death by her father, Vincent Vizza.
Val is survived by her children, Eli and Gwen Coulton; their father, Robert Coulton; her mother, Lois Vizza; a brother, Gregg Vizza; a sister, Rosalyn (Todd) Bartley; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews that she held dear.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 4:00PM at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, OH 45459).
Valerie's services will be livestreamed at the scheduled service time.
