Uyvonne Crider Collier, age 85 of Miamisburg, passed away Friday April 12, 2024. She was born September 1, 1938 in Ages, KY, the daughter of the late Augustus and Nellie Isabel (Creekmore) Crider.
Uyvonne often told stories of raising her children in church where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years. Driving a school bus for small children, and working for the Board of Education, Dayton City Schools, from where she retired. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly and she leaves us with great memories and testimony of how to make it through this life by excepting Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Collier in 2012; brothers, Hubert, Kenneth, Cecil, and Tom Crider; and a sister, Evelyn Crider Reynolds; daughter, Margie Ball Lucas; grandson, Richard Robert Guyler and great-grandson Mark Allen Dotson. Survivors include her brothers Jim Crider, William (Linda) Crider, Britton (Doyce) Crider and sister Phyllis (Robert) Vukovic. Sons, Willard Jack (Martha) Ball and Dannie (Tracy) Ball; grandchildren, Stacey (Mike) Files, William Joseph (Shauna) Ball, Alexis Ball, Sara (Lee) Burchett, Melora (Matt) Newsome, Dannie (Jacqui) Ball, Noelia Polanco, Joseph (Jena) Keeton, Brenda (Jerome) Dotson and Michael (Brittany) Guyler; 24 great grandchildren and her special friend Betty Hamilton.
Family will receive guests from 10:30 am - 11:30 am on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439) where a funeral service will begin at 11:30 am with Pastor Darlene Fugate officiating. Uyvonne will be laid to rest following the service at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery, Beavercreek, OH.
Uyvonne's service will be livestreamed at the scheduled service time.
