Ursula Thea Fitzmaurice

Ursula Thea Fitzmaurice, age 67 of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022 peacefully surrounded by her daughters. She was born October 3, 1954 in Kahl am Main, Kreis Alzenau Germany the daughter of Johann and Johanna Fischer.

Ursula moved to the United States at 20 years of age where she raised her two daughters and devoted her life to them and the people around her. She worked at the Carillon Cafeteria for 7 years and at General Motors for 14 years. There she met the love of her life, Michael Eugene Manos Fitzmaurice and they were married May 29, 2009 until his passing on August 17, 2020. Outside of work she was an avid gardener, winning the beautification award in Xenia over multiple years and enjoyed participating in martial arts and spending time with her grandchildren. She recently obtained her U.S Citizenship on January 20, 2022.

Ursula's family and friends knew her as a kind and compassionate woman. Ursula was quiet and welcoming and she made those in her life feel comfortable with her graceful strength. Ursula will be remembered for her beautiful, patient and selfless soul and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by parents, Johann and Johanna Fischer; husband, Michael Eugene Manos Fitzmaurice and brother, Günter Fischer.

Ursula is survived by her two daughters, Sabrina (Andrew) Johnson & Samantha (Shaun) Fisher; grandchildren, Bryce, Colin and Landen Johnson & Skylar and Stella Fisher; siblings, Gerhard Danz & Anneliese Welzbach; nieces and nephews, Andrea Goetz & Jürgen, Stefan and Frank Bahlke and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 pm.
