Troy E. Messenger, age 51 of Tipp City, passed away August 10, 2017. He was born July 5, 1966 in Dayton, OH to Barbara (Heck) Messenger and the late Durl Messenger. In addition to his parents, Troy was preceded in death by grandma and grandpa Heck.
He is survived by his children, Jackie Morgan and Caleb Messenger and their mother, Renee Messenger; grandchildren, Garrett, Jackson and Hayden; his mother, Barbara; sister, Joanne Messenger; uncle, Ron Heck; nephew, Danny Messenger; close friend, Janice; numerous great-nieces, extended family and friends.
Troy had passions for watching his son and grandsons on the football & baseball field, car racing and fishing. He competed in bowling and softball leagues. Troy was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Ohio State fan, loved to karaoke and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
Family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. A funeral service will begin at 10 AM on Tuesday, August 15 at the funeral home with Pastor Garnell Crawford officiating. Interment will follow the service at Bearcreek Cemetery.
