Tracy Anne Shadowens

Tracy Anne Shadowens, age 59 of Huber Heights, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Kettering Medical Center. She was born June 23, 1960 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of Ronald and Shirley Powell.

Growing up in a firefighter's home, Tracy grew up camping with her family and graduated from Bellbrook High School in 1978.

In 1979, Tracy married the love of her life and became a faithful firefighter's wife. She was a devoted mother, G-ma, daughter, sister and a great friend. One of her greatest blessings and enjoyments were her grandchildren. Tracy loved Jesus and was a faithful servant.

Tracy enjoyed traveling to Florida as well as going to auto races around the country. She held many office positions over the years including with the Vandalia Church of the Nazarene.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ronald Powell; brother, Richard Keith Powell and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Lynn Shadowens (Jeffrey) Roy.

Tracy will be missed by her loving husband of 40 years, Bob; two daughters, Amber Nicole (Justin) Osborne and Lauren Marie Shadowens; grandchildren, Evan (5) and Harper (3); grandpup, Vinny; sister, Michelle Powell VanNuys; father and mother-in-law, Robert Jr. and Patricia Shadowens; sisters-in-law, Robin A. Shadowens, Mary Lou (Michael) Ashburn and Lori (Greg) Parriman; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family will receive friends Sunday, September 1, 2019 from 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6 p.m. at Vandalia Church of the Nazarene, 620 Stonequarry Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45414. Private family burial will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Tracy's memory to Target Dayton Ministries.
