Tracy Lee Miller Jr., age 78 of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 14, 2024. He was born May 30, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio son of the late Tracy Miller Sr. and Mary Eloise Webb.
Tracy was a devoted husband, loving son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a member of Rockhill Missionary Baptist Church. Tracy retired from Wright State University after several years of Janitorial Work. He was a DJ and musician, master artist, as well as an avid fisherman. Tracy loved playing his lottery tickets, drinking a "shorty" from time to time, and bringing laughter to those around him.
Known for saying "Aint nothing in the world like a big leg girl, make ya act so funny, make ya spend your money, make your neck hang loose, like a long leg goose, owwwwww babyyyy, thats what I like". Tracy will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Tracy was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Linda L. Miller; sisters, Diane Alexander and Donna Miller; brother, Curtis Miller; son, Curt "Big Doug" Sims; grandson, LaSteven Huckabee; and great grandson, John Jayden Jones IV.
Tracy is survived by his children, Cynthia (Matthias) McGriff, Steven (Michelle Sanders) Sims, Michael Miller, Tracy (Cloria) Miller IV, and Angel Miller; 30 plus grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; siblings, Michael Miller, Cornelius (Brenda) Johnson, Michael (Pam) Webb, Anthony Webb, Melanie Woods, Cleveland Heights, Ohio, Annette "Nellie" Miller and Debra Miller, St. Petersburg, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews; his aunt, Dorothy "Dot" Thomas; as well as several other family members and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024 from 10:30am to 11:30am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A memorial service will begin at 11:30am at the funeral home with Rev. Mann officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery for a 1:00pm graveside.
The family would like to say thank you to his niece, Lisa Harris and Marcia Miller for their longtime love and dedication. Also his long time aids, Lamont (Cassandra) Lane, Bluegreen Health Care, Miami Valley Hospital ICU and Hospice of Dayton for all of their love and support that they showed Tracy and his family.
