Toni D. Rodgers

Toni D. Rodgers, affectionately known as Mama-Dukes, entered into eternal rest on February 2, 2025, at the age of 68, in Fairborn, Ohio. Born on January 9, 1957, in Dayton, Ohio, Toni was a vibrant light in the lives of those who knew her.

She shared a remarkable journey with her husband, David, as the owners and operators of Tuty's Inn, a beloved establishment that became a cornerstone of their community for many years. Through this venture, Toni demonstrated her warmth and hospitality, traits that reflected her lively personality. Toni was known for her feisty spirit, stubborn charm, and her ability to be the life of every party. She was truly adored by her family and friends, who celebrated her zest for life.

Toni's interests were as rich as her personality. She had a profound love for animals and was a devoted fan of Bud Light and the legendary band Def Leppard. In her leisure time, she found joy in playing darts, painting ceramics, and gardening. Many treasured memories were made at the family lake house located at Rocky Fork, a place filled with laughter and love.

Her proudest accomplishments centered around her family, which included her beloved children: Michelle (James) Stewart, Tina (Erik) Burton, David (Jennifer) Rodgers, and Shaun (Cory) Rodgers. Toni was also a cherished grandmother to Gabby (Angel) Fultz, Keith Rodgers, Shaun Rodgers, Jacob Stewart, Marissa Rodgers, Steven Rodgers, Anthony Burton, Hunter Thomas, and Sabel Rodgers. A caring brother, Daniel Wildenhaus, and many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends are left to honor her legacy.

Toni was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Ruth Wildenhaus, and her devoted husband, David Rodgers. She leaves behind a vibrant legacy filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever resonate with those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 9:30-10:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM, at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. A wake will take place at Tuty's after the graveside service.
