Toni Michelle Goodwin "Chops", age 71, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on February 24, 2024. She was born in Dayton on February 7, 1953 to the late William and Bengaline Bachelor. In addition to her parents, Toni is preceded in death by her husband, Frank; brothers: Rick and Steve; and brother in law, Eric Bowser.
Toni is survived by her son, Josh Hyder; granddaughter, Madison Hyder; sisters in law: Terri Bachelor, Jeanette Bachelor, Janet (David) Stough, Ruthie Bowser; brother in law, Ralph (Alice)Goodwin; nieces, Angi (Dennis) Dussia and Erin (Chad) Luebke; nephews: Jason Dorsten and Evin (Katie) Bachelor; numerous great nieces and nephews; as well as many other family and friends.
Toni graduated from Northridge High School where she played softball, basketball, and volleyball, as well as being a cheerleader. She was a Northridge resident all her life, working on the school board and in the high school library. Toni worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base for 45 years. She and Frank were together for 27 years. One of Toni's best memories was taking their pontoon boat to Grand Lake St Mary's. She enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a 49ers fan. She also enjoyed going to family gatherings at Marion's Pizza.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 8, 2024 at 12:00pm. Toni will be laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery in Brookville, Ohio.
