Hilderbrand, Tommy (born Turley) went to be with the Lord on September 3rd, 2017. Tommy was born February 27th 1949. He was preceded in death by his father Everet Turley and his mother, Margaret. Also, his adoptive parents Walter and Dorothy Hilderbrand, and their son Vonnie. Also a brother, Everet "Butch" Turley and sister Toni Turley.
He is survived by his siblings Dee Brenfleck (Turley), Linda Gumm (Turley), Penny Flowers (Turley), Kim Shearer (Turley), William (Billy) Wiggins (Turley), Timmy Turley. He is also survived by his children Tonya Nickles (Rodney), Kendra Hilderbrand, Nicole Elizondo, John Thomas Hilderbrand, Laura Ann Walton (Jason); grandchildren Tyan Hilderbrand, Mariah Washington, Alanna Washington, Jovan Vanegas, Arianna Elizondo, Joseph Stephens, Josiah Walton, Elijah Walton, Joshua Walton, Luca Walton, Kristin Nickles, Faith Nickles, Hope Nickles, Sean Richards, Lillian Artis; and his beloved dog Candy. Also a lifelong friend, Bill Shope whom he thought of as a brother went hunting and fishing together which led to Tommy becoming an expert marksman for the 101st Airborne in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was awarded many commendations and air medals, including the Bronze Star and Two Purple Hearts. He was active for 25 missions in 1968-69. He enjoyed playing the guitar and passed that passion on to his son, John.
He retired from Chemineer and later worked various part time jobs. He also served a few years as City Councilman for the city of Riverside.
Services will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road Dayton, OH, 45424. Private viewing for immediate family at 11:30 am. Open viewing at 12:00 pm. Funeral 1 pm.
He was loved by family and many friends and will be missed by all.
