GRIFFIN, Tom R., age 64, of Miamisburg, passed away Sun., May 6, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton after a heart attack and stroke earlier in the week. He was born Jan. 2, 1943 in Dayton to the late Eugene Griffin and Velma Grant. Tom was a 1962 graduate of Colonel White High School, a member of the F.O.P., a high school and college basketball official for 30 years and a member of the Middletown Basketball Assoc., where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in Oct. 2006. He is survived by his wife & best buddy Diane (nee Kulp); faithful companion "Bailey"; 2 sons Dustin (fiance Amy Keen) and Ty Griffin; 1 sister Christina (nee Hall) Schlachter (Steve); mother-in-law Ruth Kulp; brother-in-law Pat Kulp (Judy); sister-in-law Sue Flaute (Ned); nieces Tina Boehmer (Kenny), Amy Plummer (Ray) and Katie Flaute; nephews Michael Kulp (Emily), Danny Flaute and Kevin Flaute (Jessica); great-nephew Kyle Boehmer and great-nieces Karly Boehmer and Abby & Morgan Plummer. Funeral services 5 P.M., Wed., May 9, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Fr. Paul Gebhardt presiding. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 - 5 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home. Final disposition cremation.
