Toby Neal Collins, Sr., 60, of Riverside, passed away May 17, 2020, at home with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 29, 1959.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lona Cox-Getter; brothers, Tom Palmer, Rick Collins and Gilbert Collins; and grandson, Luchyiono Purks- Garrett Webster.
Toby is survived by wife of 22 years, Barbara Purks-Collins; siblings, Jackie Reind and Danny Sargent; cousin, Tom Cox; children, Toby Collins, Jr., Marissa Purks-Garrett, Helma Collins, Leslie Collins, Christopher Collins, Jackson "L.J" Marker, Dina (Steven) Barnhart, Jesse Dillon, Jeff (J.P.) Palmer, and Christian Valentine; grandchildren, Shawn Montgomery, A'Shanti Purks-Garrett Crane, Krystiania Valentine, Day'Shaun Elijah, Ly'Ja Purks-Garrett Webster, Mar'Tavion Garrett Crane, Averyonna Beavers, Emma Barnhart, Makayla Marker, Isabella Barnhart, Tyler Crane, Mason Barnhart, Catherine Collins, Brittany Barnhart and Amory Valentine; his mother-in-law, Wanita Purks; and his care-givers for 7 years, Schitina Smalls, LaTosha Horton and Sylvester Howard.
He served his nation proudly in the United States Army. Toby was an Over the Road Truck Driver and retired in 2010. He was a die-hard New Orleans Saints fan. Toby loved fishing and spending time with his family at the family farm. His passion was computers and he enjoyed tinkering with them in his spare time.
A Celebration of his life will be held by the family at a later date.
