Tina Walter, age 66 of Dayton, passed Thursday, January 27, 2022. She was born April 6, 1955 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Thomas Smith, Sr. and Bessie Foley. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, John E. Walter, Sr., Her stepfather Orville Foley. Her brother Thomas Jr., & sister Melvina Simms.
Tina is survived by her son, John Eric (Rosario)Walter, Jr.; daughter, Teena Marie (Selwyn) Walter; Her grandsons Nathaniel and Juan-Reyes Walter-Chocoteco. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was devoted to her faith and a proud member of Mt. Enon Baptist Church. Tina graduated from Stivers High School and was employed in numerous positions and industries from White Castle to the Department of the Army, culminating as an Associate Manager for Speedway Inc., before her retirement from the workforce. She enjoyed reading her bible, listening to some R&B but mostly gospel. Loved going on outings with family and friend alike. But nothing could compare to spending quality time with her mother. Tina never met a stranger and was a kind and generous soul. She will always be remembered for her sense humor & brutal honesty. She is well loved and will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to cover the final expenses by John E. Walter, Jr.
Visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Friday February 25, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home-South Chapel located at 3940Kettering Blvd. Kettering, Ohio 45439. Funeral Service will be officiated by Minister Donnell Smith the following day at 10am.
Tina's final resting place will be alongside her husband at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery located at 2501 North Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY 40160.
