Timothy Rhoden
September 28, 1958 — July 30, 2013
Timothy "Tim" R. Rhoden, age 54, of Kettering, OH went to be with JESUS on Tuesday July 30, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph E. Rhoden.
He is survived by his mother, Charlotte L. Rhoden; son, Shaun M. Rhoden; sister, Karen L. Rhoden; 2 nieces, Stephanie E. Ockerman and Shonacy J. Conley; and numerous other family members and friends.
Tim graduated from Fairmont East in 1976. He was former Vice President of Ralph Rhoden Painting Inc. which was started by his dad and is celebrating 50th year anniversary. He was a member of Lifepointe Church (Christ Life Sanct) and Montgomery County Stroke Survivors since 2006. He has also been a member of Kettering Recreation Complex, NRA, and lifetime member of MLB Club. His greatest thrill was skydiving twice.
The family wishes to express special gratitude to Dr. Raju and Dr. Einstein and staff of KMC and OSU James Cancer Center. Also Hospice of Dayton, private nurse, Melissa Vance, other nurses and staff, and Chaplin William Sangrey who gave excellent loving care to him during his courageous battle with cancer. And also appreciate SIS ladies and spouses, and pet therapist, Joy.
A Memorial Celebration of Life for Tim will be held at 3pm with visitation from 1pm to 3pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439.
Bishop Fred and Pastor Katrina Wilson are officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420.
